The area by my jar and under my ear hurts, what could it be?

Ive felt like I had a slight cold coming on for the past few days but it hasnt progressed. Yesterday my left side jaw/under my ear hurt occasionally when I swallowed. Today it hurt more often when I swallowed and sometimes when I would chew. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks. :)

My lymph nodes are not enlarged at all.

Melinga-

My wisdom teeth were removed July this year. I have numbness on the left side of my tongue and inner gums from that. Who knows, maybe somethings going on on that side and I'm not even feeling it due to my numbness.

    If your lymph nodes are not enlarged then maybe it could be something to do with your teeth...have you had your wisdom teeth yet??

    You may have an infection in your mouth..an abcess or something like that...you should see your doctor if it continues

    could be a swollen lymph node. you need to see a dr.
