How many hours/day is your dog home alone? Where do you keep it? (Indoors, crate, chained out, in a pen, etc.)?
Thanks!

Firstly, what breed? If its a big dog, keep it IN the house, outside is always risky. If your dog is trained, leave it in a designated room like a laundry room etc. Do the same with smaller dogs. I do this with my dog. She's 2. She usually stays @ home for 5 hours MAX. Start leaving him @ home for 1 hour, then 2 etc. If you leave them alone for too long they might get worried and become extremely depressed!
, Hope that helps and Good Luck!

My dog is rarely home alone. But when my whole family decides to go somewhere she is usually alone for 3-5 hours at a time ( which doesn't happen often). She is kept indoors will all the doors shut to each room, and the living room is gated off.

my two young dogs(2 years and 7 months) are in crate for there safety and the safety of the items in the house. My older dog (14 years has run of the house) i am gone about 5 and a half hours a day

My dogs are usually home alone for 4-6 hours. But, I usually have a pet sitter come and care for the dogs for an hour or so.
Two of my adult dogs get full run of the house, while my other puppy stays in the kitchen, with plenty of toys!

I go to school from 8 to 2. I leave my golden retriever in the house (because he doesnt like the heat) and my pit bulls (they are 7 and 8 months old) outside in the backyard.
I want to kill people who put their dogs on a chain!

i have three dogs: a 50lb poodle, a 5 lb chihuahua, and a 15 lb **** zu. we leave the chihuahua in a VERY large kennel meant for large dogs with a plush bed for 6 hours monday-friday! when i get home she is usually sleeping and i take her out and play with her for 2 hours. this helps balance out the hours that she was in her kennel!

I am home schooled so I'm here with them all day:) They have the front and backyard to play in but its been so hot that they have been coming in for the air. But soon we are going to put a huge tarp outside for them that keeps the sun away.

Maybe 1 hour a day on their own (We have 2 of them)
Mostly they stay in the kitchen each has it's own raised bed but if they wish they can come into the living room if they wish. there is nothing stopping them.
