    Charlie is correct. I work for the TSA and unless you get a job as a pilot or as a federal air marshal. The only way you can take a firearm is in checked luggage. It will need to be unloaded and put in a locked ( so that there is no possible way of opening it without a key) hard-sided case. Go to the website that Charlie posted for you that will give you all the information you will need to know.

    All you have to do is to get a job that is called "Air Marshal" Then you can have a permit for taking a gun on a plane.
