the number on the printer was c4280

you can go to your start menu and go to programs you should see the name of your printer as well as the model number take that with you to the store and they will show you which on is for that model good luck.

Did you try looking at HP.com or opening up the printer and reading the number on the cartridge? Because both those options would probably work ;)

Look at the cartridge in the printer or take the cartridge to the store and ask for the same one..
