OBAMA is getting a MIXED BREED puppy for his daughters! Do you think other people will do the same?

Traditionally, whichever breed the president has becomes very popular in the US, unfortunately creating a puppy mill & backyard breeder profit paradise. I hope this inspires a run on shelters - pound puppies rejoice!

I think it is awesome that he would do this. There are so many loyal, loving animals waiting for good homes. You will never find another dog better than those at your local animal shelter. They will be your friend for life. Don't support the breeder who abuse and ne

Who cares. He should get whatever dog he and his family desire....if it comes from a shelter/rescue or a good breeder should be HIS choice and not have to depend on others opinions.

**And anytime there is a "run" on any breed/type of dog, you will se the bad side starting to come out. Impluse shelter puppy buyers are no better than impluse purebred puppy buyers. And all the BYB knowing that shelter dogs are getting adopted with the recent "run" will have no guilt increasing their poor breeding practices.

Be careful what you wish for.

IDGAS either. It'll be the same as the Benji fiasco. Idiots will attempt to recreate the same mutt, and guess what? No two mutts are the same, even in the same litter. Irresponsibility is inevitable. All us RESPONSIBLE breeders can do is try to beg for common sense, or if all else fails, pound it into people's heads.

i imagine a Coton de Tulear will be proper. they are hypoallergenic and they are superb with babies. in reality, they are tremendous in virtually any situation - they even like different animals. they are more beneficial sturdy to discover in a take care of, yet there are some Coton rescues obtainable. regardless of breed they pick on, which will be one fortunate canine.

I can understand why you think back yard breeders might be going crazy, but if everyone bought puppies responsibly then they wouldn't even exist.

    You're just over-reacting,

  • I do hope more people buy dogs from shelters but George Bush's dog didn't make more people buy that kind of dog!
