finding the central angle?

Find the radian measure of the central angle of a circle of radius r that intercepts an arc of length s.

Radius=17 feet

Arc length=10 feet

    angle = arc/radius

    10/17

    =0.58...radians

    The circumference of your circle is 34pi

    So the fraction of the circle that this arc takes up is 10/(34pi)

    The fraction of your circle that the angle takes up is (theta)/(2pi)

    These fractions should be the same, so solve

    10/(34pi) = (theta)/(2pi)
