Mormons abandoned multiple wives in 1890. If they hadn't they would define marriage as the union of a man and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman.

Mormons do not practice polygamy (any more) and those who do aren't members of the mormon church but rather "fundamentalists". People seem to link these guys and the Church of Latter Day Saints together when they really have nothing to do with each other.

Let's just say for the sake of auguring that there are polygamists who fought against Prop 8 but they did so because they believe that Bible says homosexuality is a sin, therefore gay marriage would be as well, while marrying several wives is okay. They are only going by what they believe (I'm not advocating for them, just explaining their position).

Besides, polygamy is a crime. Depending on the state, you could go to jail and/or pay a fine. Haven't heard of any gay married couples going to jail have you? Didn't think so.

Because YOU need to get your facts straight. Before you go talking about things that you know nothing about, maybe you should actually talk to a real Mormon and figure out that they DO NOT practice polygamy, and if any Mormon was to try, they would be excommunicated from the church. What you're thinking of is the FLDS church. NOT the Mormon church. Get a clue.

Because Mormonism does not favor gay marriage. Polygamy is not really a Mormon thing. Over 50% of polygamous marriages in America are non-Mormon. Also Muslims have been allowed to have up to four wives if the husband can afford them.

They just can't seem to help themselves...

They have been hating on different groups of people since their religion began...

Now they are even trying to blame their own proposition on the black people who only partly voted for it...

Even though they sponsored it and voted for it 100%.

Furthermore, if polygamy is some kind of relic of the past, then what was that big cult of Mormons in Texas doing with multiple underaged wives?

To be fair, the overwhelming majority of Mormons are against polygamy.

You're only about 120 years behind actual events. The LDS Church repudiated polygamy prior to Utah's admission to the Union in 1890.

The Mormon Church has dropped polygamous marriage in 1890's

Their is no polly marriage in the true Mormon Church

Because Prop 8 isnt about monogomy. Its about gay marriage
