Made of glass...yes, sort of ! Resin (usually Polyester, but can be epoxy) with layers of fiberglass (very fine glass fibers either wolven into a cloth or a matt fabric, like felt. Layer after layer with resin saturating the glass cloth, the resin polyerizes, (turns very hard) and the "fiberglass" is formed...a very tough, hard material. This can be free formed, but is usually made in molds.

Yes, it is made of glass. The molding that gold wing is referring to is layers of woven fiberglass mats held together with a polymer resin. It's called fiberglass because it is, in fact, glass fiber.
