i need some 2 person skits for an upcoming speech contest. please! any ideas?
My school competes in a local speech contest, that's made up of different categories. [children's Literature, Adult literature, Play reading, Poetry, Original oratory, and Duo interpretation] what my friend and i want to do is the duo interpretation. that means that we have to pick a short, 2 person skit and preform it in a 5 to 7 minute limit.
Last year we did the same thing and had a great time [hence why were doing it again] and we preformed 'the dead parrot sketch' by monty python. but i cant seem to find a skit that we can do this year. it has to be for 2 people [preferably girls, but it doesn't really matter] and have about a 5-7 minute duration. when we preformed last year, two other students did a skit called "help wanted" . i didn't catch who it was by [who wrote it], but i really liked it. anyone ever heard of it? its about a guy who goes in for a job interview, and gets into a fight with the manager, who turns out to actually NOT be the real manager.
so anyways, im looking for a good skit, and if you know how to find the 'help wanted' skit i'd love it! thanks a lot! we can either do a comedy or tragety, so both would be awesome!

How about a French and Saunders skit? There would be so many to choose from :)

You could try looking at some Peter Cook & Dudley Moore material - they're one of my favourite double acts, and two of the people who inspired the Pythons in the first place. No idea about the 'Help Wanted' sketch though, I'm afraid.

i think that the next contest should be like this one. or maybe another one like this. Something about meeting the Jonas Brothers again. Maybe instead of a press conference, a place to hang out with them. It could be like play baseball with the Jonas Brothers... or something else like that. I think that people would LOVE another chance to get to meet them and I think it would be cool if its something that the Jonas Brothers like to do. Or maybe you could see if they would sing at a party for someone. Thats another idea that I think a lot of people would love the chance to get. Since you are a friend of theirs and they love their fans I think that they would be willing to do something fun like that. I don't really know though because I don't know them personally. But I definetley think that another contest would be great. E-mail me if you do something else!! Thankss
