Henna is extremely hard to get out and pulls a lot of red undertones. it fades fast but has a red tone that makes hair a night mere. I say your best bet is to go to a salon and ask for a semi permanent. paul Mitchelle has something called pm shines. this just stains your hair and adds a lot of shine. it is not mixed with harsh chemicals and is very gentle. it doesn't break all the way through the cuticle part of your hair so it is not damaging. usually this cost half the price of a typical hair color job. you can probably find this around 35. 00. if you go to whole foods and buy henna it will look good for a couple days maybe weeks but eventually will dry out your hair and makes a color correction difficult. that or you could get a cellophane by Sebastian at a salon this is even less damaging and fills the hair with protein. protein strengthens your hair. cellophane's are also somewhat reasonable in cost. doing your hair your self will really only save you a little bit of money. for shine heating up some olive oil and putting it through your hair for 10 minutes will give a shine and is natural if you aren't interested in coloring your hair.

  • Buy Pantene Expressions in your hair colour. Shampoo AND conditioner. There's blonde expressions, brunette expressions, and red I believe. Use the shampoo and rinse immediately, then use the conditioner and leave it in 10 minutes, then rinse it with cold water. Your hair will be REALLY soft and shiny and the blonde/brunette/red in your hair will be more accentuated and appear brighter.

Source(s): I use Pantene Blonde Expressions shampoo and conditioner. :)

get a henna dye its very organic and comes in a wide range of colours and on the upside its not permanent.

Also angel curls are a good way of getting attention.
