Where can I find some good websites that tell me some of the gang weapons in the 1950's?

You could google youth gangs of the 50s, probably get 50 million hits.

I grew up in the 1950s and can tell you that most weapons were homemade, baseball bats, bicycle chains, knives that sort of thing.

Zipguns were made using automobile antenna parts, not door parts.

Most weapons used by youth gangs were made out of things easily found around the house, tape, springs, door latches, pieces of wood or metal.

I don't know of a website, but I know that one kind of weapon they used was called a Zip Gun. It was supposedly made out of parts pulled from a car door.

They used a lot of surplus WW2 weapons. The STEN MKIII was common and cheap. Obviously the Thompson Sub-Machine gun (tommy gun) was still in use. 1911 semi-automatic 45ACP handguns and plenty of different revolvers were in use.
