"Nothing" because when you fear nothing you have nothing to fear.

Fearing nothing. Fear is an emotion that keeps us healthy. Those without fear don't live very long.
Things you don't understand CAN hurt you sometimes. And I think some fear of the unknown is natural. Sometimes this fear can lead to violence and destruction of the unknown thing. But perhaps it doesn't have to. Fear is just an emotion. Something that gives us energy. But we can choose how to direct and use this energy. Perhaps, instead of violence and destruction, we can use that energy to learn more about the unknown thing, find out if it's safe before we allow it to get too close.

Fearing the unknown is understandable and perhaps may serve as a defense against that which is truly dangerous. Unfortunately it also leads to stagnation of the spirit, since so much is unknown... we end up fearing nearly everything.
Fearing nothing sounds commendable but is foolhardy.
Both have their dangers. The latter is perhaps more intrinsically hazardous.

I'd first assume 'dangerous' as a possibility of inflicting physical harm or pain in which may result in either death or near death.
Then, to fear the unknown is to perhaps having the tendency of not engaging in any activities for one does not like the idea of what could happen to oneself. S/he only engages in activities with either a level of certainty or with full certainty of the outcome. In other words, s/he will have a higher probability of staying out of trouble and therefore, be 'safe''.
To fear nothing is being rather rash and sometimes clumsy. Act of heroism sometimes gets people killed or hurt. On an actuary table, premiums of insurance on these type of people are likely to be highest. Chances of getting hurt physically (therefore, dangerous) are higher.
Fearing nothing to mitigate the unknown is another realm by itself but in the context of dangerous, fearing nothing is still the dangerous one of the two evil.
