Why can't be there be peace between Muslims & Christians in Iraq just like there is peace in Palestine?

I heard about the civil fights between Shia & Sunni and Muslims & Christians in Iraq, how come they can't work together like what the Christian & Muslim Palestinians are doing?
Ignatius, you can't have peace when you are putting all the blame on one side, you gotta understand that Muslims belive if you kill a non-Muslim in your house or your homeland, on the Day of Resuruction the prophet will side with the non-Muslim against you..
Of course it's not okay, the Quran says killing one person is equal to killing all mankind and saving one person is equal to saving all mankind

I believe it is due to local politicians there as well as local warlords. They create fear and hate to use it to propel them to power.

Well, we can talk peace when Islam rebukes terrorism and terrorists, and stops promissing 72 virgins to those who take out non-muslims with bombs and such. We can talk peace when Islam let's women who have been raped to accuse rather than be accused, to prosecute their attacker instead of being prosecuted BY their attacker. We can talk peace when Islam recognizes that other religions and people deserve to be treated as humans and not infidels.
edit- Okay, but what if you kill them outside your homeland. That's okay then?
Double Edit- THe Quo'ran also says KILL THE INFIDELS WHEREVER YOU FIND THEM. Until this line is rebuked, how can there be peace? It is telling Muslims to KILL PEOPLE?

I wish they could. The devil is certainly at work and to blame it all on Bush (as some have done) is not right or true. It's near the end of the world. Peace is in Jesus Christ and he is able to give peace to people, to anyone who accepts him even in the midst of chaos. It takes great faith to persevere even when war is all around you. They need our prayers.

Islam to me is going through what Catholics and Protestants went through in the 16th century. Going through endless war with each other. Soon though I bet they will reform how the religion is structured like the Catholic church did.
