Pregnancy question.. is it true?

Is it true that you can still have a period if you're pregnant? I heard you can have a period for like 3 months and still be pregnant. Has anyone else heard of this? How can I find out if it's true?

Update:

Because I thought I might be pregnant, then my period came.. so I thought. My periods have always been about 28 days apart, and ALWAYS 6 days. This time, it went for a day, stopped for 2 days, and went very lightly for another day. And that's all.

Light blood or spotting can happen but not a full, heavy period. I've heard of women who claim that they have had a period while pregnant but it's just not possible. You only have a period when the unfertilized egg is being released from your body. If you're pregnant, your egg is fertilized so therefore you can not have a period.

Thi can happen but it is extremely rare As far as I know generally this only happens in the cases of ectopic pregnancies (where the baby is developing inside the womb and not hte uterus).

Ask your doctor about it as you are not likely to get anything better than an educated guess on the internet!

A regular period does not mean u would loose a baby!! My cousin had a period for 7 month and give birth to a very healthy baby boy. So yes it is possible. x

i have heard of it, but they are usually referring to very light periods, to spotting, b/c a regular period would probably make you lose the baby.
