I am having IM problems?

I downloaded messenger 9 this morning and it worked fine. Now I can receive messages but the person on the other end can not get a response from me, any ideas?

    That is one of the bigger problems with 9. They released 9 with out fixing ANY of its bugs. Google for Yahoo! Messenger 8.1.0.421 - this is one of the more stable versions and most recent besides 9. Filehippo will have it.

    Remember, you MUST uninstall version 9 for an older version to work right. Once you get an older version, you problems should stop.
