They've been waiting two thousand years. They can damned well wait forever.

Belief in the rapture as well as when it will occur are hotly debated among Christians. But it is not a belief essential to Christianity. I have been a Christian myself for many years and only became completely won over to the doctrine of the rapture a year or two ago, after much study on the subject. And I am not infallible. I could be wrong. But I know that at some time Christ will return. If it is not in the way described as "the rapture", well, I will still be overjoyed to see Him. I wait on His will, not He on mine.

I won't have to say anything... because its going to happen...

    Matthew 24:40-44

Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

    Matthew 5:10

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Check it out.

    1 Thessalonians: 13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, Brethren, concerning them which are asleep that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For th Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel and with the Trump of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

( So I wan't tell all you non believers anything, I'm not going to be here)!!!

  • Well, honestly ..... in all fairness, since there is no set date (specifically) there is really no guarantee that it will not.

No man knows the day or the hour except God ... et cetera and paraphrased.

The only way to "distinguish" it's nearness is by the changes in the world in parallel to scripture.

There are also THREE theories, Pre, Mid and Post Tribulation Raptures. Christians are divided on WHICH of these three is proper, but all Christians agree on this subject even though the word "rapture" is not found in the Bible. (The concept is there though, which is why it is part of valid christian doctrine). ALL VALID Christian Denominations believe in this "doctrine." (As well as in the doctrine the Second Coming of Christ, which is NOT the rapture. Those two are different things!! The 2nd Coming is later, rapture is 1st!!)

Personally, I've never held the belief of a "Pre-Tribulation Rapture" like most Christians, but have always stuck to the belief that it will either be Mid or Post.

The Tribulation Period is, according to Bible Doctrine ... That 7 year period when the Anti-Christ comes into world power, bringing world peace for the first 3.5 years, then breaking his treaty (or "covenant" ) with the Nations (U.N and etc) and then setting himself up to be worshipped world-wide as God Almighty; and the remaining 3.5 years are literally hell on earth for everyone left, including christians who will be executed. As will all those who do not "worship" him or "his image" (most likely a 3-d Holographic image, which is the implication in scripture) and thusly "take the mark" (i.e, on the hand or forhead) which IS basically tied to him and his name and is agreeing to worship and follow him. [and it is believed that it will most likely be a computer chip that holds all kinds of personal info and data and so on and so forth ... kinda like those "tracking chips" for dogs and such that are now so popular within the last few years.

He will abolish the concept of "paper money" and will make everything a one-world currency, all electronic. He will unite the nations, (through being granted power by the U.N and through the E.U (temporarily) he will be famous on an international level because of the things he says and does; He will be able to perform "miracles" and deceive many people (who will believe he is Messiah, though Messiah already came 2000+ years ago). He even will be assisinated and rise again three days later (this is done to mock Christ and is relevant to the previous sentence).

He will be able to grant world peace (literally) but for only a short period of time. (3.5 years exactly).

Anyways, The whole point is ... Non-Christians do not believe this at all. They mostly think all christians are crazy for their belief in this, BUT in all fairness ALL SIGNS in the world point to this taking place as all of these things (implanted computer chips, one world currency, the rise of the E.U (European Union); the U.N .. and so on and so forth are all mentioned in scripture (The Bible); Therefore, in defense of most christians, due to the fulfillment of things NOW that were written millenia ago ... it is completely plausible and logical that christians would hold to this belief. (Of a rapture; of a One World Government and of a One World-wide leader over the nations, i.e, the Anti-Christ.)

I believe this this will happen (I am a christian and familiar with this doctrine) but i do not make it my obsession. (as some do, by reading all "end-times prophecies" in scripture, like is found in Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel i think, plus a few New Testament books and some other Old Testament books etc and following the headlines in the papers) I figure ... IF it happens in my lifetime ... what could i possibly to to change it or prevent it or whatever? If it does not happen in my lifetime, well the same applies.

My concern is, through all of my faults and bad days included, making sure my heart and life are right with God, and then ... well, if i die tomorrow OR live to see all of this through .. i really won't have to worry about it, now will i?

Though it sometimes is worrisome as the appearance of these things fulfill regularly ... When it comes down to it ... Live or Die, Get "Raptured" or not ... i know who's in charge and who controls the World, and his name is Jesus .... so, i'm not really worried about it.

A lot of crazy people have really done Christianity (and this doctrine) no good. BUT I am not going to judge you or preach to you. You have the right to believe whatever you want, but so do i. My Question is ... what if it DOES happen? What will you say then?

I think it is much better to be prepared then to miss what could've saved your life ... now, and eternally. But to each his own.

    Praying for you.

    xoxo

    ♥

PS: Personally, I won't say anything ... if i am raptured i am not even going to remember anyone on earth because i will be with God. IF i die first ... well i'll miss the rapture entirely, in which case the same applies and i'll have nothing to say, neither will i care. LOL.

Well firstly, the wedding date has not been established. For the time being,we are in holding pattern, during the dress rehearsal..

However,if things heat up and it becomes evident at some point, that the time of Tribulation/Great Tribulation has begun, with a no show, then we must tip our hats to the Post Tribulationists...You would of course need to deal with us,for another 3 1/2 to 7 years...

Matthew 24:21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

ON account of the chosen ones? So they must still be here.

What is going to happen when the great tribulation breaks out and you still here? Will you feel you have been left behind?

Also, what could destroy all flesh, no just all people but all flesh?

  • If it doesn't happen, oh well. Honestly, I'd rather be Christian and be ''stupid'' for believing in God and be wrong, instead of being an atheist and being wrong. I mean look at the facts. What if God isn't real. What happens if you DO believe in him and Christians are wrong? Nothing will happen, there is no afterlife, oh well.

But, What if God is real? And you're atheists and don't believe in him, and you're wrong?

The rapture already happened. What you perceive as Christians are all just brainless robots left in their places to make sure we don't catch on. You didn't think they would leave *evidence*, did you? That would be like proving the truth, whereas a true convert can only feel and sense the truth by reading the inerrant word printed in the bible.

Tricia - The Rapture will happen so fast that none of us will even a chance to say goodbye to our friends and loved ones who had not accepted Christ as their Saviour. That's why we tell others about Jesus now, because none of us is promised a tomorrow. God bless!!!

IF it doesn't happen, we won't say anything at all.

You didn't want to hear about the event, so why would you be interested in the non-event.

But God is faithful to His Word. It will happen.

Than it will be too late for you to say anything.

Why not just Jesus today? It costs you nothing.
