I could use some medical opinions...?

I've been sick for the past 5 days with what I originally thought was the flu. I have fevers, nausea, sinus pressure, headaches, and body aches. No sore throat.

The thing is...I've been packing myself with zinc and vitamins and resting everyday and night...but I don't seem to get any better!

Could this be something other than the flu?

Thank you for your opinion!

Most colds and flu take from 7 to 14 days to run their cycle. But you should be feeling some better by day 5. Sounds like the flu may have turned into something more serious. You should see your doctor to see if you need antibiotics.

If you've had fever for more than 3 days it might be time to get an appointment with your doctor. Even if you call him/her today, you might not get in until Friday, so call even if you don't want to go in for a few more days. With a fever, drink plenty of fluids. Follow the directions on vitamins, too much is not good for you. I work at a doctor's office, we haven't had any confirmed flus at the moment, but plenty of gastritis going around.
