Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese, Mc D, Bk?
Has anyone had a birthday for their child a Chuck E. Cheese, Burger King or Mc Donald's? I would like to have my daughter birthday at Chuck E. Cheese or any other place similar, and was wondering what was the cost ( ball park), there's nothing like personal experience. Thanks to all.

i just had my sons birthday at chuck e. cheese's on sunday...it was special, to say the least. it was $120. i guess you have to pay for at least 4 party guests to get the chuck e. cheese party, thats 12.99 a piece and each of those guests gets a place setting, tokens, a couple pcs pizza and a soda cup--so we paid for that and then there were 11 other guests so we bought two large one topping pizzas. 8 drinks. my mom bought the ice cream cups that they serve there. they give you some free tokens and some tickets for the "birthday star" and balloons for the table. they set up for as many "party guests" you pay for. at the place i went they scheduled 2-4 parties at once and chuck e. came out to greet all the birthday stars at one time...my son is 3 and was terrified. lol he really wanted to go there though, so since it was for him and he wanted it and HE had fun i didn't mind so much...but other than the fact that you don't clean up afterward it was NOT that much better than having a party at a park or someones home. try to go at an off time to get deals and avoid the ZOO that that place becomes. lol

Chuck E. Cheese - Your kids will NOT eat, and that's a 100% guarantee. The last Chuck E Cheese birthday my family went to, the other parents left talking about how their kids will be saying "I'm hungry" in an hour. There's just way too much stimulation. If you're providing pizza, look to paying something in the $50 ballpark. Provide tokens and drinks, you're looking at a hefty bill.
McDonalds is great! Most McDonalds have birthday packets with toys for all of the kids. Best of all, they will eat!

You can have birthday parties at Burger King? I had no idea! My mom had a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese when she turned 40 or something. It was really fun . . . for kids and adults! My parents had my birthday party at McDonald's twice and I always loved that, too. I guess I would say you should choose Chuck E. Cheese since they seem to include the entertainment while at McDonald's you sort of have to provide your own.
Not sure how much it costs but I think they have prices posted on the Chuck E. Cheese web site.

At least do Chuck E. Cheese ... don't have a party at a fast food restaurant.. I'd feel sorry for the kid.. and what is there to do there? They'd have so much fun at Chuck E. Cheese.
You don't have to pay anything if you don't get some "party package." Just have everyone show up and order pizzas and drinks.. and go play games!

We did my stepdaughter's birthday at Chuck E Cheese about 2 years ago. It was close to $9.00/child, I believe. That didn't include cake or goody bags. We spend at $100 easy on the party itself. In my opinion, I didn't care for it. My husband wanted to do it there, and of course the birthday girl did enjoy herself. Chuck E Cheese is so hectic, that when you add a birthday party to it...it's very chaotic.

McD or BK would be the least expensive, but Chuck E. Cheese is the most fun.
The price varies on the package you pick but they range from $10 per child up to $16

Chuck E. Cheese is great for the kids the only thing I don't like about it is the time limit on your party.

How old is your child? If she is old enough to decide for herself, let her decide. But personally, I would not take my child anywhere that has a ball pit. I've heard such horror stories about those. One where a kid got a couple of red dots and died later - turned out he was bitten by a snake living in the ball pit! And when they cleaned out the ball pit, they found not only a snake, but other crap like soiled diapers and used syringes - likely from drug use. Can you imagine your kid getting pricked with one of those? I hope that this particular ball pit is a major exception, but I won't risk my child's life or health on a hope like that.
I would just call the places to get an idea of the price, it probably varies a bit from one place to another as well. And as to the people getting mad that you would take them to a fast food joint for their birthday - this is what kids LIKE and if they can't even get something that they enjoy once a year on their own birthday, when CAN they? There's nothing wrong with an occasional treat, especially on their birthday.

yeah look on either the websites (if they have one) or call and ask about it. this is my opinion but i wouldn't really take my kids there because i took my daughter to chuck e cheese and my she went up in the play place and i was watching her and there was this other kid who just started peeing every where and they didn't clean it up for about 30 minutes even tho they were notified right when it happened, so the play-places there and at McDonalds aren't very sanitary

Well, you could easily just pick up the phone and call each place. They won't give you "ball park" prices, they'll give you the EXACT cost and will also tell you what it includes.
I've never hosted a party at any of those places, but I've been to a party (with my kids) at each place. I can say that its generally a waste of money. You could host a party at home (or rent a child friendly play room at your community center) that was just as fun for much much less. You could serve better tasting and more nutritious food than any of those other places. You also wouldn't have to deal with crowds, other strange kids trying to join in or hogging all the "toys".
