How do you stop automated spanish telemarketers from calling a cell phone?
I get several calls a week from spanish speaking automated telemarketers or something such as that. I do not speak spanish and their calls run out my minutes. Does anyone know how to stop them from calling?
To the gentleman that asked me how I know it is spanish. I speak enough spanish to know when I hear the language. I have many neighbors who speak spanish. So I am not an idiot sir. I also speak a bit of french, german, arabic, and italian. I know what language I am hearing when I hear it. And I do know that they are telemarketers. I reiterate, I am not an idiot. It is better to keep your mouth closed and have people think you are a fool than to open it and prove that they are right. Gandhi....

You can add any of your telephone numbers to the Do Not Call list.

I have the same problem. donotcall.gov is absolutely NO help at all, as they call from a different number every time. I too receive several calls a week from these telemarketers. It s always a recording, and if you press "uno" you get a real person, also speaking Spanish. I have stopped answering my phone when it s a number I don t recognize, but the few times I have it s always the same. I don t know who gave out my number, but it s been going on for years now. I think the only real solution is to change your phone number and never, ever give it out to anyone you do t know personally again.

Actually, the best option is to put a telemarketer block on your phone through your phone carrier. When anyone calls your phone it will say "If you are a telemarketer, please hang up, if not press 1 to connect." It sounds simple but a robot telemarketer cannot press 1.
