Anything from France ? ?

I know you said nothing extravagant, but I would really like an Hermes scarf. To me, that's extravagant.

For something not extravagant, some hot chocolate from my favorite cafe would be really tasty right now.

Looks like a pretty typical list. Go to a bookstore. Find a copy of Lonely Planet, DK Eyewitness, Rick Steves, and Let's Go Europe, and Fodor's. Get a cup of coffee and start browsing. You'll find some others. Catacombs with the sewers (I wish I had known!) One place that gets overlooked, and I thought was quite a gem is the Cluny Museum. Not far from Blvd St. Michel, if I remember. Right in the middle of town...it's, like, 10th century, really neat, changing exhibits, but really interesting.
