Has anyone read Edith Wharton's novels?

Out of The House of Mirth, The Age of Innocence, and Ethan Frome, which is best?

They're all great. I loved The Age of Innocence the most.

Somehow, I can't quite accept that Lily Bart is as noble as Wharton makes her out to be in House of Mirth. I really love the way May schemes in Age of Innocence while still being the virtuous one in everyone's eyes.

By the way, each novel has a really good movie too: Age of Innocence in 1993 with Winona Ryder, Daniel Day-Lewis and Michelle Pfeiffer; House of Mirth in 2000 with Gillian Anderson from X-Files as Lily Bart; and Ethan Frome in 1993 with Liam Neeson.

I only read Ethan Frome, but it gives me chills to this day.
