College trig question concerning vectors?

Show that U and V have the same direction if UxV= /U/ x /V/

    UxV=/U/x/V/

    so for that to be true

    /U/ means the absolute value of U so the total distance U from zero.

    /V/ same thing for V

    UxV if they are both positive(therefore go the same direction) then /U/x/V/ is also positive and always will be

    UxV if they are both negative(same direction) then - x - = + and so is /U/x/V/ positive

    but if it was -UxV then the answer would be negative and it would not be true, so they have to go the same direction.

    maybe just -UxV(doesnot=)/-U/x/V/
