had the same problem, look really closely at the hose...bet you find a little crack in it somewhere that the leak is springing out of. may have made it worse if you tightened the clamp too tightly...

After, carefully inspect the hose, and verify that it is not the hose that is leaking, then proceed to the protruding (pipelike) stub from the radiator.

That stub is 'soldered' to the radiator housing. With age, or a good slam, very minor cracks can occur. You can re-solder using a 'propane torch(after lowering the level of the coolant), or use J/B weld compound.

Inspect the stub, to see if it corroding thru, or have a rough outer surface, which prevent the clamped hose from fully seal-over.

Depending on the age of the car, and time yet ' to keep running', you may want to add a "radiator sealer compound" which will stop small leaks,,,,,,its pennies vs bucks for a new rad.

The end of the metal pipe may be corroded away (in one spot) right at the location where you clamp it (a hose may have been sliced open to get it off the pipe before and the pipe may have been nicked parallel to the pipe causing a good place for coolant to pool and rot a line into the pipe), creating a seep point to get under and past the clamp if that is the case see if you can get past that spot with the hose and clamp it at another spot further back on the metal pipe say another inch maybe ,or sand that spot on that metal pipe to clean away any defect it may have.If the pipe is replaceable that would be another choice to look at too .

You need to replace the hose as it is old.

Old hose tends to harden and also out of its elasticity.

Change new sets of hose clip and hose.

well the metal pipe might be bent or broken check it and replace the hose anyways if the metal pipe looks alright if it still leaks you might need a new radiator.

If the hose itself isn't damaged, I would take the hose off and make sure the part you are connecting it to isn't damaged. If it is cracked, there will not be a good seal.

If the hose goes on loosely onto the medal pipe, instead of you almost forcing it on.you may need a new hose.
