Anthony Edwards returning to ER?
I am just catching up on some old seasons of ER and Dr Greene died of brain cancer early on in the show. How is it that he is returning to the show?

I think he's going to be in a flash back.. or at least that is what it seems to be on the previews. He will be on there tonight.

He is actually returning only to appear in flashbacks that some of the older cast is having. There is also rumors that George Clooney will be returning as well, but im not sure if its just in flashbacks, or to the ER. Either way I am very exciting to see some of the new episodes with Dr. Greene, he was my favorite character, i cried a lot when he died.

Flashback episode to explain why the new head of ER or the Chief of the ER is the way she is and explains her story and how Dr. Greene and her meet....and why she took the job at county hospital.

the new er chief was once in the hospital with her son...so episode is going to be a big flashback basically

since he died he's returning as a ghost. not haunting people but like a memory or someone watching over them

I think he is coming back as a memory and a ghost. We finally get to see what the new chief is hiding tonight . Why she is always so pissed off at everybody.
