Scion TC Windshield Vents?
Whenever I turn the heater or fan onto the defrost setting, my car looses some power. I was wondering if using the windshield vents caused the AC to automatically turn on. I know that did not happen on my previous two cars.

no should not i would say that you have a short in the system your ac is on a different control system need to trace the short and see why and where it is before it starts a fire
