PLEASE ANSWER!!! I'M 23 and can hardly bend my knee...is this arthritis?
A couple of months ago I noticed that when I bend down, I experience pain in my left knee. It's stiff! I recently began doing these range of motion exercises while i'm lying down in the bed but I really don't understand why this is happening. I have not seen a doctor about it yet, but my grandmother had arthritis. Could this be premature arthritis...it's painful and embarrassing. Help please.....!

a torn meniscus is not unusual. It is a little flap of cartiledge in the knee, under the knee cap. There's sometimes associated swelling along with it however. Stretching is great but won't heal a torn meniscus unfortunately.

Probably not go and see a doctor before you panic. There are many things it could be and he will have to rule them out.
