He'd be a great pick up for them,if they can't sign Adam Dunn they should go after him because they need a power bat in the middle of that lineup.

The Nats have a morel likelyhood of getting Adam Dunn than Giambi. Adam Dunn is a favorite of Nats owner so i see some kind of deal being worked out to bring him to DC. I see Giambi likely heading to Oakland.

To bad Jason Giambi is god awful and he wasted sooo much of the yanks money. He would bring down the Nats.
BTW: Go Mariners, Go Cubbies

The Nats let Soriano slip away. They don't want to spend money. Giambi's salary is probably one fifth of the Nats entire payroll.
I really wish they would pick up some players who could really do something for the team, stop letting people go that WERE doing something for the team (Soriano brought in the fans and charged things up), they need to dig deep into those pockets and pay for performance. That is the only way they are going to climb up out of the hole they seem to have dug for themselves.
The stadium is beautiful....too bad people aren't coming out to see the Nats play. I saw one game because I was really curious to see the Stadium (plus that's what my husband wanted to do for his Birthday) that one game was enough. Pretty stadium, bad team :(

While Giambi is a good hitter his defense sucks. Giambi belongs in the AL as a DH that will suit him best. How about Tony Clark or Nomar Garciaparra. they have pretty good numbers plus they will be cheaper to get leaving more money for other positions that they need to up grade on.

I don't think they want to spend the money, and he's kind of a liability in the field. As a Yankee fan, I speak from experience. Stick with Johnson. For some reason the Yankees just traded for Nick Swisher

What the Nats need is someone like Mark Texiera... contact+power. Giambi is old and rotten now.. nobody wants him

Call the Nationals owner and General Manager.

That would be interesting.
He showed that he could still play 1st base, so the NL not having a DH is not an issue. Still, how much do you think the Nationals will spend this offseason?

That would be great for the Nationals! I can't wait till they pull a Rays in a couple years!
