Now that we have voted Obama into office, I truely wish him the best and want to give him support?

But as a republican who voted for McCain I can't help but think I'll get some kind of sick satisfaction out of him falling on his face. Does that make me a bad American?

Update:

ok i get it i misspelled truley!

Update 2:

I agree, hope for the best, but prepare for the worse.

You know what it is scary to say that I feel the same way! I think because these creepy liberals make it out that he is going to be soo great. Did you know TIME magazine had an article about him saying he is going to be the next FDR. I laughed so hard after seeing that. I don't understand all the hype. I kinda want something to go wrong with him also (but nothing extreme) just so we can prove him wrong and these Obama-obsessers will realize he is a million times worse than Bush. Let's face it, at least Bush has experience. What kind does Obama have?

The Democrats didn't just wish bad things on President Bush but villivied him in the extreme. Luckily Republicans think more clearly and will try to remain patriotic even if we are unhappy about who is president.

So just sit back quietly, watch him fail miserably (ala Jimmy Carter) and get ready to regain power in 2012.

How do you both "truely (sic) wish him the best and want to give him support" and ALSO "get some kind of sick satisfaction out of him falling on his face?" Which is it?

If it's the latter, then yes, you're a bad American.

No, Americans who have disagreed with the policies of a president have always been good Americans who supported the principles of the Republic.

This guy Obama resigned from Senate when swift and decisive action is needed. He washed his hands. He wants this country to implode in the next month so that he could take the credit and satisfy his ego.

So you are in a good company. Congratulations.

His failure would equal your failure. Remember that. How can anyone honestly he happy if a politician falls on their face? Think about it. If he fails, we all fail and we all are in a world of hell. I wasn't a Bush supporter, but I am not happy he failed, I wish he could have pulled through so we aren't in this terrible situation already. If Obama were to fail at anything, think of how much worse we could be.

All the GOP-ers are feeling this way and NO, it doesn't make you a bad American. I have a feeling he will ruin this country as we have known it and disliking him is actually being for the country!

Yes. We need to support our Commander in Chief. We have the right to speak our piece, but if he falls on his face, WE fall our OUR faces. United we stand. Divided we fall. Peace.
