Can I get a tax rebate check?

It seems as if the Government is giving every Tom Dick and Harry a rebate check, everybody except those of us who live on social security benefits. I only made $10,000 last year but because that is all social security (untaxable) I wasn't eligible to receive a check. Can we get one now?

If you received $10,000 of SS in 2007, you would have been eligible for the stimulus handout, but you had to file a tax return by October 15, to get it. You will get a second chance. File a 2008 tax return in February.

We don't know since no legislation has been passed authorizing a second stimulus check. We will have to see what the legislation looks like before we know who gets what.
