PS3 HDMI hookup into computer monitor. NO SOUND! helppp?
I have everything hooked up into the right areas in my computer but im not getting any sound. does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?
so its most likely the monitor?
i have my computer speakers hooked up. i dont know why that doesnt work?

Go to the PS and go to
Settings
Sound Settings
Choose HDMI
If that does not work, thenmaybe the monitor does not do sound or saomething. Try plugging the RCA's into a stereo and change the setting to
Audio Input Connector
If that works, then its the monitor. Im sure the HDMI isn't messed up if you can see the PS screen on the display.

Computer monitors don't have speakers in them. If yours does then you need to change the settings so that the system outputs the audio through the HDMI cable.
