Why are there criminals that still think they can outrun the police?

He was desperate and afraid, rightly so. Most police and other criminals (in jail) hate child molesters. Now when he goes to jail, he will not be able to outrun any of his fellow prisoners who want to exact justice

Here is the thing those crown vics never have the stock engine, they will usually have the LS1 out of a corvette. The answer is still yes becasue even though they have such good engines they are way too heavy. The camaro or the charger will most likely keep up with you. Thing is you wont get away because they have helicopters, units can come up out of just about anywhere, if you love your car and your freedom don't do it. I have watched enough chases to know you can't out run the law n if they catch you "prepare to be f***ed by the long dick of the law!"

The criminals don't think of others, they harm and hurt others and then panic when exposed. I'm grateful this guy didn't cause a major pile up and kill others on the highway. The cop chasing him across the several lanes of traffic is to be commended for his own bravery. Now let's hope some swarmy defense attorney doesn't get this guy off so he can then sue.

these dumb butts, can not out run the law, not with the current technology of the police. i had rather be arrested then be dead. maybe these criminals have a death wish. i don't know why the police got out of their car and start chasing him. that was dangerous thing to do, in the middle of freeway. they should have stayed in the car and let the helicopter keep track of the suspect.

I have outrun cops several times, but am getting old...apparently this charming gent was being sought for lewd and lascivious acts with a child, so perhaps this will slow him down a bit...

Someone seriously needs to right a manual for the criminally inclined on how to ditch the police when their on your @$$!

"Step One" should be to have a cache of donuts on hand in your car at all times, so you can throw them at the coppers to distract them.

There is always that chance that the police officer will spill hot coffee and donuts onto his lap and break off the pursuit.

They out run the law courts even if the cops catch them.

Because they think like this: "I'd rather die trying to get out of a situation than face the reality."
