Would you consider the United States a country of the world? ?

What I mean is are we a world country? We have the most diverse mix of people anywhere else on the planet. Are we the first real truly world country? Which country would eventually become the next world country?

Statistically speaking, I don't know. One would think so as we have been bragging about being the world's 'Melting Pot' for so many years. But I also have to say that while we have held tightly to that image of ourselves with one hand, we then use the other hand to dismiss whatever segment of the population that doesn't suit our fancy. People of color, where ever their origins may lie. And as long as we practice these hypocrisies I don't really feel like we can claim to be a country OF the world.

A country IN the world. A country that wants to dominate the world. But not a country OF the world.

Geez how old are you anyway? 12? So health care is GREAT in 35 other countries? is that what you believe? because the health care epidemic, the last time I checked is a WORLD WIDE issue according to the World Health Organization. But keep thinking according to what others are telling you kid. "The economy is in shambles", as oppose to the rest of the world that's DOING GREAT? "No one can get a job", and the rest of the world is hiring and leading the way with flying colors right? "The divorce rate is high", and divorce is not an issue anywhere else? do you even know what the statistics are? or are you just assuming and believing what you want to believe? "The education is terrible" and the whole world has ACED the literacy problem elsewhere too right? Oh yes, that's right, politics is a "US PROBLEM" NOT ANYWHERE ELSE! ALL OTHER COUNTRIES ARE ALL IN UNITY AND WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT FIGHT OVER SOCIAL REFORM! Yes, that's right, education is so expensive here but it's SUPER CHEAP EVERYWHERE ELSE! We have dumb laws and nobody else has them either, yet there are untold number of countries with fewer human rights then over here. "Marijuana is illegal even though a majority of the country does it" HOW STUPID ARE YOU??? Seriously, that's got to be THE MOST STUPID THING on your list! YEAH SURE....EVERYBODY AT WORK DOES IT, THE COPS DO IT, THE PRESIDENT, ALL THE TEACHERS ARE SCHOOL..WE ALL JUST LIGHT UP A DOOBIE AT WHIM WHEREVER AND WHENVER RIGHT? I think YOU are the one who does it because what you say is a HUGE RED FLAG! Only drug addicts think that "everybody does it" or "the majority" of people do it. Why addicts think like that is beyond me. So censorship only goes on here in the US and no where else? Even if that were true, would that really be a bad thing? On #1, we have the best technology, we're the wealthiest, we're the most powerful and most influential, we're #1 in Entertainment, Tourism, and opportunity. True, we have many social issues, but along with the good you have to take the bad as that's inevitable. Your comments though are 100% ignorant and you sound like a child who doesn't know the first about the world because you haven't expereinced or learend enough about it .

Actually Australia is the most multicultural, followed by Canada.
