after thought, I like amd/ati, but It could very well be the catilist control panel, I'd bet my best flash drive that you've got that on your vista don't you? you could get rid of it...

Do a Seach of Your Primary hard Drive you will Find that the ATIKMDAG.SV file is found in the catilyst control panel, try removing the control panel. it's been noted that removing this control panel doesn't hurt graphics card preformance.

actually I think it's as easy as going to programs and features in the control panel and clicking on the catylist control panel and choose remove, wrorst comes to worst you could have your drives ready if things go bad, also it should create a restore point automaticly

hmmm, now that is beyond me I don't have any computer ATM that have an ATI card in them.... but i'm pretty sure that would be one way to fix the problem, also are you on a desktop or a laptop?

I have to take my autistic friend to the movies, but I'll be back later. update it and I'll check back in a few hours.

give that a shot I might be able to find the CCC on your computer, I'll be around keep me posted
