First, give us a source that says "all Republicans" do not believe this. Otherwise, I have to assume you just want to bash. Grow a pair and you won't need to come on here and wield useless power against people you will never have to face in person.

Source(s): yours is a violation, so back off

Bob: I agree that global warming is an issue as is pollution and the rapid use of the world's resources. I tend to be a skeptic of skeptics and these organizations are not necessarily working in our best interest. I think regardless of whatever evidence (either pro or con) we should try to do our best to consume less and pollute less. Also, I believe that there should be population control (by what means, I do not know. Nothing violent... encourage ppl to have only one or no children and pay them for this agreement). It is quite possible that the earth's heating and cooling cycles are not in correlation with our actions. However, we all can argue that human activity has caused desertification and pollution. We need to win the environmental argument based on what we can prove, and not focus so strongly on this "global warming" topic. There has to be some sort of behavioral shift where ppl want to recycle, live more simply, and find alternative energy solutions because it's the right thing to do. When anyone figures out how to accomplish this, please let me know. I cannot even influence the culture in my company to stop using Styrofoam in the cafeteria. Sorry! Another topic!

You have to read the things you cite. Does it explain with complete proof that all global climate change is man made? That by stopping all the things we do it will stop the climate change. It is funny in the seventies it was global cooling, then global warming, now global climate change. The 80's AIDS epidemic was a good indication at how much we should trust alarmists. We were told the amount of deaths in the heterosexual couples was skyrocketing in America and soon many hetero couples would be dying of AIDS. This is not a Homosexual mostly male disease. Now all the "doctors" admit they lied and the epidemic was mostly gay in America. How many gay people died because of the lack of truth coming out and targeting the gay males? If a scientist can let men die just to be politically correct. I have a very low opinion of what goes as science nowadays.

Oh, stupid people can be so funny sometimes.

If you actually buy that crap the mainstream media sells you that all Republicans don't believe in climate change, you are so far gone I can't help you.

A very small fraction of conservatives on the far right don't buy into climate change (yes, that includes Sarah Palin), but by and large, everyone understands the threat carbon emissions present to our planet's well being.

I guess because it isn't in the Bible. Remember theses were many of the same delusional fools who were able to discern that Obama was the anti-Christ from some Biblical passage. As a whole, not a really bright bunch.

Republicans don't believe in helping their fellow man who is down and out. They say let him pull himself up by his own bootstraps, I had to. Why is this relevant? Because that sort of selfishness naturally goes straight to the question of climate change. They don't want to change their lifestyles and don't think they should have to do so for anyone or anything. Give up my SUV? Hell no. Do some work to make my home more "green?" Get out of town. You get the idea. Selfish people do not want to hear that they are about to have to give some things up for the good of our planet. What do they care about that? I actually had one of them against the idea of global warming tell me he could care less - let the next generation worry about it. He wasn't going to be around in 50 years, so why care? I find him typical of a lot of Republicans. It's easier to deny the evidence than it is to make sacrifices that decrease your comfort level. Besides, Republicans are anti-science. If it's ignorance, then it's willful ignorance.

Because doing what needs to be done will be bad for corporations. They have developed their own pseudo-scientific organizations backed by oil companies and others to refute the claims of legitimate scientists and nobel laureates. Bottom line - money.

What God would let that happen?

That is basically the only legitimate excuse I have heard when I asked my friends. Which is sad because it is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

Because they're greedy -- adhering to the recommendations of scientists might make business a little less profitable. Oops -- they did that anyway, didn't they?
