Is there a way to figure out a physical address from a surveyors legal description of property?

    Yes, you just need the maps. The description is based on a central point, once you know where that is you can pinpoint every inch of the property.

    Not all land will have an address though, often those are not assigned until housing plans are submitted.

    As you will likely see from other answers the answer to your question is an unqualified maybe..but unlikely. THe key lies in the legal description itself. Addresses are seldom, if ever, used in legal descriptions since address change at the whim of the City government, but deeds and recorded documents are, in theory, forever. Thus it is important to tie the land description to something that is as equally durable. Some deeds will refer to a subdivision and a specific lot. These are often reflected in the local Assessor's maps so that is an easy search. But some deeds read: Beginning at the center of the Oak tree and then following the meander line of the Mill Creek to the edge of the dirt road... (honest.. deeds are written like that !). Good luck finding THAT address. You are better off trying to obtain the assessor parcel number for the lot .. that will let you find the address easily. good hunting. .

    The only way would be to search the county records using the legal. The address would be on the title of whatever property which has the legal you searched. Keep in mind that addresses are assigned by the post office in order to deliver mail. So, if it's a vacant parcel or other building to which no one has requested mail delivery, it won't have an "address" per se.

    Yes get the APN (N=number) which is the tax id on the property. This will give you the property address. This APN number is posted on the deeds with the legal descriptions for tax ID reasons. The city the property is in logs them by APN numbers.

    Some county records allow you to search by the legal description of the property. You can do this online depending on your county/state.

    Frequently. If the lot is part of a subdivision, and the survey refers to the subdivision plat, the county records will show the street address.
