We are a democratic republic and not a monarchy,so this should be asked under government,not royalty!
And of course,the government is being quite wasteful and not helping out the people who pay the taxes and need the help.But,on the whole,imperfections aside,I think that we are a great place to live.

Oh, Washington is in a dither at the moment and the chattering classes have elevated Obama to the Pantheon, but all in all we are sorting it out.
