Atheists, does love or beauty exist?
If not...isn't anyone who is attached to anyone (or anything) else exercising some form of spiritual ritual?

Love and beauty exists for some people. "Exercising" love or beauty (not sure how you would do that) is not a spiritual ritual at all. I don't know what your religious or spiritual beliefs are, but, most people who have religious beliefs claim to be loving of all people, yet, many cheat on their spouses, are racists and never bother to help those who are truly in need. Love is not something that can be easily "practiced". True love that is, however, it can be the easiest thing a person can ever do....to love unconditionally and without expectations of any sort. There are no rules in love there is no ONE way to love a person "right." But, if you ever love someone, just bc, and that other person loves you back and you experience happiness without fear, it is then, I think, that you've seen and felt beauty and love.

Love is an emotion that is understood as part of our brain chemistry.
Beauty is a subjective value judgment, though many people do seem to
have some consensus on what beauty entails.
So no "spiritual ritual" needed. Whatever that would be.
And all this would apply to humanity as a whole. To single
out atheists with such a general question makes no sense.

"Atheists, does love or beauty exist?"
yes, and yes they are subjective.
"Isn't anyone who is attached to anyone (or anything) else exercising some form of spiritual ritual?"
If you say so, but how about defining 'spiritual ritual' in that context and I might know what on earth you are talking about, or even be able to give a fuller answer?

I'm unsure of what you are getting at with this question? That atheists can't be spiritual??
Don't know if I read the question wrong.
But yes love and beauty exists even for us atheists.

No, love isn't some form of spiritual ritual.

Love and beauty don't have anything whatsoever to do with religion or the belief in an invisible omnipotent force with a desire to be worshipped. In the words of Douglas Adams "Isn't it enough to know that the garden is beautiful without having to believe fairies live at the bottom of it?"

Love and beauty are constructed by individuals. Do they exist? They are extant, but not necessarily so--they exist by convention.
Attaching a conventional meaning to something does not make it spiritual by necessity. We also attach meaning to the color of people's skin, but that doesn't make it a spiritual matter.

Love is an emotion, which is a process of the brain. Therefore, it exists to the same extent that other emotions exist, like fear or anger.
Beauty is merely a subjective opinion, and has no objective basis in reality.

Empirically speaking, I have experienced both, therefore, yes. Why they exist is an entirely separate question, which relates to the gregarious nature of the species and the need to qualitatively assess the DNA (or at least its outward manifestation) in a prospective partner with whom we might wish to procreate.

what is with these silly questions towards atheists? of course love and beauty exist and it has nothing to do with spiritual ritual.
