Who you think was angrier? Dems when bush won 04, or Republicans when Obama won 08?
Most democrats were extremely upset Bush won in 04, how ever it wasn't enough anger or disgust for Democrats to win in 04. 08 Election now, people still seem to be angry all tho there is nothing they can change. I seen at least 3 hate crimes in my state since 08. One of the hate crimes included spray painting cars of, Hispanic and blacks saying racist, and Anti Obama things.
Thoughts?
Opps who was more angry, not angrier. *Slap my self*
Its pretty hard to tell for me its about even, maybe republicans are more upset, because if dems really were that upset about Bush.. even with a mediocre candidate the dems would have won.

The Republicans in 2008. I hear all kinds of bizarre stuff like I never heard before. "Obama is communist, not a citizen, Muslim, socialist, Nazi." I even heard one person say "Obama's going to take all our jobs and give them to black people." I can't remember Democrats saying anything that weird in 2004.
I can remember feeling angry about the 2000 election, but in 2004 I was just numb thinking: "How in Hell did Bush get re-elected?" I don't remember Democrats being angry in 2004. I remember seeing Michael Moore on the Tonight Show right after the 2004 election; when Leno asked him how did the Republicans win he said "they got more votes."

Most of these events are hard to prove, because they can be thought of as isolated. You have to remember that the media was very unhappy with Bush winning, where the media is very happy that Obama has won.
As a republican, I am angrier at the media than I am at the voters. The republican base was not energized by McCain, because he is not a conservative. We will have to do a better job at organizing our own primaries in the future.

First off, hate crimes are stupid stupid stupid legislation that should never have passed. It demeans those it seeks to protect. and i would say the dems were much more angry in 04, they burned things. i dont recall any republicans going out rioting cause obama won. and as for your "hate crimes" my neighborhood have several mccain houses vandalized with anti white sayings, are those "hate crimes"

I think the dems were more angry in 04. Speaking for myself I'm more sad than angry. What angers me is everyone saying that I'm racist b/c I didn't vote for Obama. I just totally disagree with him on everything-everything.

Republicans in 2008. The republican pundits are telling their listeners to stock up on food. They are implying that our right to free speech will be destroyed, our right to own guns are in danger. I have never seen scare tactic like this before. So, yes the republicans are definitely spewing more than their fair share of hate.

The liberals were much more pissed. You have to look at in true in perspective and lets face it, the liberals are always super sensitive and have an adolescent mindset. Imagine what would happen if the conservatives behaved like the liberals. There has to be one party that is willing and able to act responsible regardless of whos ahead in the game.

I was a huge Kerry supporter and said only one thing in a blog that I kept back then.
"Give it 4 years...you'll see what you have done to our country." I had dozens upon dozens of comments from republicans laughing at me for that one statement. "Hahahaha! LOSER!"
I then proceeded to keep my mouth shut and supported my president as much as I could...until 2008 when I backed Obama 100%. Can't say that republicans will be that patriotic...which is obvious.

2000 was far more fun.
I am firmly convinced that Al Gore went insane sometime in the last few years. We are probably all better off that he didn't become president.
In 2004, Disney still hadn't got it's animated presidents to the life like quality necessary for Kerry to win. He still didn't have fluid enough motions to be mistaken for something living.

Not all Republicans, and not all the hate crimes are committed by Republicans. They are committed by idiots who are in both parties.
And I was depressed after Bush won in 2004, not angry.
