The Duke
When will Americans stop loosing their minds and start acting with some basic civility?
The election is over. Half of us are upset b/c hillary didn't win. Many of us are ok b/c hillary didn't win. some of us are happy b/c trump won. Regardless of where you fall does this recent insanity help anyone? Protests, #notmypresident, etc. Really? Dems were upset when people claimed that obama wasn't their president now they do the same? Hypocrisy. These racist morons spray painting crap attributed to trump and springing up b/c he won. Really, your crap was garbage before trump won, just b/c that moron is in office doesn't mean your crap isn't still garbage.
We will be ok, if people would calm down and work at understanding each other instead of trying to tear each other down.
Sorry, my little vent for the day
12 AnswersPolitics4 years agoWhat's the point of "Welcome Black Week" activities at universities?
Why do universities need " introduce incoming freshman to the array of programs and organizations focusing on the black experience." Doesn't that demonstrate "racial intolerance" and why is there not a "Welcome White Week"? Would that be wrong?
3 AnswersPolitics5 years agoWhere can I find some services/programs for my brother who is now in a wheelchair?
He was in a bad car wreck last week and we were told his spine was severed and he'll be paralyzed for the rest of his life (at least the forseeable future). Where can we find programs, services, resources for his needs (wheelchair, healthcare, making home wheelchair accessible, etc)?
3 AnswersPeople with Disabilities5 years agoAt a time in our history when more and more people are burdened with heavy debts due to costs of college why is this a good idea?
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/08/09/colleges-acro...
How can we raise costs of college for those who pay, yet provide it at almost no cost to illegals? How does that make sense?

7 AnswersLaw & Ethics5 years agoIs anyone paying attention to the water issue in Flint, MI?
It seems more and more people are relying on the govt to help and provide for them. How can anyone realistically expect the govt to provide for them when they can't even provide clean water for a city? Or clean up the problem once it's found? How about the river the EPA polluted in Colorado last year?
Again, the govt proves that it cannot be counted on to adequately provide services for the people.
10 AnswersPolitics5 years agoHas there been a call to ban cars since the Ok State homecoming tragedy?
4 people were killed and 40-50 injured when a possibly drunk or mentally ill person drove a car into a crowd at a parade. Are we now going to call for cars to be banned or certain types of cars? Or are we going to look at this situation and lay blame on the person for her actions? If we are going to look at the person how is this different than when some mentally ill person takes a gun and kills people? If we aren t then were is the outrage over automobiles and the deaths/destruction they can (and do) deal.

2 AnswersFantasy Sports6 years agoWhy's the Pope such a big deal?
Not trying to be disrespectful at all, I just don't understand why everyone gets so worked up over the Pope. As a Baptist I don't have anyone within my discipline to equate him to, so I don't fully get it. He's just a guy that's been elected to be the leader of a church, right?
Again, not trying to be disrespectful, just trying to figure it out.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWhy do people require tolerance and acceptance for their lifestyle/beliefs, but then can't show either when others don't agree?
For example: Some/many gays will say we have to accept their lifestyle and we have to be tolerant. If you don't agree with that you are immediately termed a homophobe or bigot or whatever. Some Christians do the same thing too.
If you want to preach tolerance/acceptance but then are incapable of showing either of differing opinions are you any better than the bigot/racist/homophobe you deride so much.
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender6 years agoWhat's cheapest way to watch TV without cable/satellite?
I'm tired of paying so much for TV. I've got 2 kids, so kid programming (nick, disney, etc) is important. Want sports, news channels, the main cable channels (A&E, FX, History, Discovery, AMC, TNT, etc), as well as CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, PBS.
I need practical information (connecting tv to internet, apple tv, roku, netflix, etc.) other options and what's worked best.
Thanks
7 AnswersTVs6 years agoFor the College Football Playoff which should be more important?
Should it matter where a team you beat (or lose to) is at the time of your game or at the end of the season? Teams at the beginning of the year are not always the same at the end. Take Ole Miss-I'm a Bama fan so this is most applicable to me- should Bama be penalized for Ole Miss loss now b/c they've lost 3 or should the loss be considered from when Ole Miss was at full strength and playing well? Or do we look at Arkansas-who've looked dominant last two weeks shutting out LSU and Ole Miss- as a stronger team for finishing strong or weaker for where they were when Bama beat them? How should committee look at these games?
