Do you believe in a religion (or religions)?
This question is not necessarily about if you believe in God or gods.
Explain a little why or why not.

I don't believe in religions. Religion divides people, teaches intolerance, and practices superiority.
Believe in whatever god you want to, but don't bring all those silly rules into it.

A wise belief in the East is; If one religion is good, two religions is better. It is good to learn about many of the different religions, not only so you might find one or two you like but so you can also understand others beliefs. You have a lot of negative comments on here but don't let that deter you from really finding God. You sound like you are on your spiritual path, keep looking, the journey is worth the effort.

Good question. I believe they exist, but I tend to shy away from them.
I think that sincere people usually begin religions, but once they get a following, they have to find a way to keep the religion going -- which takes money.
Therefore, the focus moves from service to one's fellow man to service to the money-making machine.
Then, there's the whole power thing, when a person gets a taste of power. It's like a little taste of heroin. You gotta have more and more.
So many wars have been fought in the name of religion. Millions have died for nothing more than small-minded competition between "religious" men fighting for their wimpy gods who can't take care of themselves.
That's just the tip of the iceberg of reasons why I prefer to steer clear of religious organizations.

A religion is a belief system, complete with pantheon, eschatology, etc.
I am a Revivalist Christian, but my core beliefs are different from most Christians:
+Jesus Christ is not coming back; he never said he would. He said others would come, in his name, performing miracles in his name.
+There is no judgment day where all the living and dead get judged. That is another misunderstanding of the Bible. There is an end time, when great events including the death of Satan do occur, but it does not involve judging every living person.
+There is no antiChrist. It is not a person. It is a mindset; the mindset of atheism, humanism.

No. I am not a big fan of religion. I've seen how it has driven people into a raving madness through the ages (The Crusades, Muhammad's jihads, the various Hindu militant groups still in India and surrounding countries, The Spanish Inquisition, witch hunts, etc). Sadly it still does.

My Faith does not evangelise - it does not teach that it's way is the only path. It reaches respect for other paths (& non-paths - like Atheism) and individuals taking personal responsibility.
And yet Fundies have labeled me evil while (some) Atheists suggested my path is just as deluded as those Fundies.
I believe that Spirituality has a lot to give people, just sad that it is judged because of the actions of a handful of Fundy Wackjobs.

I believe religion is a way to keep order and control. Its a way to avoid or it distracts us from who God really is , at times.
Religion reminds me of a man who cuts down a tree craves an image, and then worships that image and asks it for things, when in fac it couldn't even create itself.

Religion is mass control, and fear is the adhesive for it all. The fears in religion can be soo bad that it can trump the fear of death itself, knocking a person's sense of survival out of whack. This make an individual dependent on the religion as if it was needed for their "ultimate" survival. In a way religion is a drug, a vice if you will. Making the addict putty in the hands of their pushers.

well im in one, so yes i do
Why? I beleive the profets did peform miracles, otherwise i dont think the viewers back then would have been dumb enough to just beleive because someone just sounded smart without proof.
There are many miracles around today that show theres God, for example the saints incorrup bodies and holy light
