I have been getting rather a lot of SPAM in my emails lately..?
I never open them but I'd love to know how to stop them. I have the SPAM guard on and it puts them directly into the SPAM folder. Will they stop eventually if I don't open them? Any advice will be gratefully received.

looks like your being spammed on your question as well. lol
the spam will never stop. the biggest mistake people make is un-subscribing to them, or forgetting uncheck the 'carefully selected 3rd party' option when you sign up to things, or buy stuff online, they may carefully select who they give your email to, but the company that gets them doesnt.
and if you unsubscribe, it means your email address is active, so its sold on and you will get about 20-30 more for each one you unsubscribe to. just mark as spam and keep doing it.
the only real solution is change your email address. have 2 or 3, use 1 for signing up to sites like myspace and stuff like that, another for online purchases, like ebay and stuff like that, and another one for friends and family to email you, that way you can minimse the spam. and dont give them out to every site, and remember to uncheck those box's.

There is absolutely no way, just delete them or completely ignore them all, it causes less trouble that way. I happen to never get them, and I'm wondering how in hell that happened. Knock on wood. Srry don't want to get them. Maybe because these spaming ppl don't have my email!! :S

Nothing seems to work. I've tried everything I know to stop them. I use Incredimail now which allows me to bounce unwanted mail to sender. I am hoping that it will help, but I fear that many of them are sent by bots so those will continue to arrive.

Sorry, I'll stop writing.
Source(s): They won't usually stop if the site has your email address but if they go into your spam folder, you need never check it.
