Because there's only one quarter of overtime and still couldn't score which is rare making a tie rare. Usually a team can get at least a field goal.

Basically the NFL is trying to say If you cant score against your opponent in 15 you don't deserve to win, it is too expensive to have 2-3 or even 4 overtimes. the easy way is to just say were all winners.

Because there's only on overtime period in regular season games. If no one scores (and no one did), it ends in a tie.

  • because both teams played great defense the whole game so thats how it ended up that way. it's the first time it happened since 2002! 0=

because Philly is that bad this year, they couldn't take care of business against the #3 worst team in the league.

i like how the college OT works and i think that should be put into play in the NFL

ok donovan..let me try this once...in the regular season...you play one OT quarter...if no one scores..it is a tie game...in the playoffs though...you play quarter after quarter until someone scores

Because the NFL leaves a 60 minute contest up to a FLIP OF A COIN,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Go to the college OT system; much more exciting!!!

  • Mostly because Donovan McNabb didn't know there was only one overtime and he didn't put all his effort in winning.
