Do you think he died on Veterans Day on purpose?

My Grandpa served two tours of Vietnam. He served on Hamburger Hill, was stabbed in the kidney twice by some Vietcong, has 3 purple hearts, 2 bronze stars and many other medals. Sadly, he was a drunk and often had flashbacks. He died on Veterans Day, 2001. Doctors say that shrapnel impeded in him from way back over 30 years ago killed him. Do you think he was waiting for Veterans Day as his time to go?

Another Note; Curiously enough, my little brother was born that very day, although they had almost nothing to do with each other since it was my step mom's kid, and my step dad's dad.
