Should I be losing this much hair?
I am a 32 year old female and I have been losing a lot of hair. I am no where near bald, but this bothers me a lot. Hair loss does not run in my family. My hair is long, I don't color it. I have had a lot of stress over the last 2 years, but my stress level has been ok for about 5 months now. When I comb or pick my hair out lots of hair comes out. Hair covers the backs of my shirts and people are constantly saying something about all the hair. I can run my fingers through my hair and it will come out. When I wash my hair I have to stop and wash off my hands to get the hair off. Is this just normal? I am thinking of going to the doc. but was just afraid that I may be overreacting. Thanks..

with long hair you lose a lot every day.. Ive always had long hair and its the same way with me. My shirts are covered, its all over the chair I was sitting in. My husband will joke and say that I mark my territory where ever I go because its everywhere. More will come out with stress but once you get things to settle down, you will see it'll simmer down also. I wouldn't worry to much about it. :)

My hair was doing this earlier and then I got a trim and it stopped. My hairdresser said that if your hair starts shedding ALOT then its about time for a trim. I'd go and get a trim and see if this helps.
And its also because of stress.

If it doesn't slow down soon, try Nioxin products. You can get them at any salon, and they help most people. If it helps you'll have to keep using it, but might be worth it.
