Grey's Anatomy Question?

I've never watched it, but the cast is always on talk shows, and I have to know: are McSteamy and McDreamy really supposed to be their names on the show? No offense, but if so, that's totally stupid. Maybe I'm just not getting it since I've never watched it though HAHA PLease enlighten me! Just one of those things that's making me crazy!

    McDreamy and McSteamy are nicknames because they are hot docs.

    Derek Shepherd was nicknamed Mcdreamy, when his friend Mark Sloan came to Seattle they called him Mcsteamy....

    It's because they're both so sexy ;)

    I am utterly hooked on Grey's Anatomy. My exceptional buddy IS Meredith Grey! She dated a scorching dr final yr after which discovered he was once married. Now she doinks all people she meets and simply final week received a task that makes her journey so she will be able to give up! She even appears like Meredith! What the hell is GAY'S Anatomy

    Of course those aren't their real names. Those are just nicknames the girls call them on the show. They are actually Dr. Shepard and Dr. Sloan.
