Need help from an administer. Regarding malicious thumb-downing?

I had two different people write that someones been maliciously giving all of my answers a thumbs down. The first one was early when I became a level 3 and again just recently I was emailed about someone doing this again.

I'm a registered nurse becoming a mid-wife (graduate in January) and have worked for an RE clinic in a big city so I'm well taught about fertility. I don't know why this person has targeted the questions I answer but it appears to be my questions not the ones other people answer. I'm keeping track of the people who answer questions with me to see if there's a correlation but I would like to see this person banned from here.

I have actually been stalked several times on Y/A. All it takes is one person to not like or disagree with something you ask or answer and you can have non-stop thumbs down or be wrongly reported for community guideline violations over and over again. This has happened to me twice in the last two weeks since I started answering political questions after the election. Wow - what a mistake that was. There are some crazy fools out there. If you ever get the time, go to Yahoo forum and read some of the posts of people that actually admit to doing this kind of activity on Y/A. It's enough to give you the creeps!! There are people that just do it randomly, they'll pick someone based on an avatar or just by chance and start clicking thumbs down or reporting non-existent abuse. I have now hidden my answers and questions to anyone not in my network and this does help but I think it's crazy to have to go to that extent. I also make sure that I do not insult anyone, no matter how idiotic they seem. If a question seems like it's trolling or inflammatory, that's reason enough for me not to answer it. Good luck to you - wish I had all the answers.

"Thumbs down" means absolutely nothing. If it helps you any, try picturing these people at the mentality they are displaying: giggly pimply faced fourteen year old boys flocked around a computer in their underwear and high-fiving each other every time they hit a "thumbs down".

It doesn't reflect upon your standing on YA.

Don't try to remedy the way people on this forum behave, or you will go stark raving mad.

(Bet I get some thumbs down).

I hate that too! I get it all the time. I always give a thumbs up to those I think deserve it, but find I get alot of thumbs down. I don't suppose there's anything that can be done about it though:(

that happens on other forums too and it is ridiculous when someone gives a good answer and trolls give the thumbs down. One suggestion that may help, edit your info so your questions and answers are private.

sounds like you have a troll stalking you, try changing your avatar and screen name and see if that helps any. Try playing hide and seek from them.

Good luck, sister, but idiots are idiots wherever you go. Y!A is no exception.
