Sophie versus Sofie? Opinions pls.?

Which spelling do you like? My prefered spelling is Sophie, but my daughter is considering Sofie. Her choice clearly, and I won't say a word, but just wondering what the general consensus is.

My choice would be Sophie too, it looks more finished, and not so much like a nickname. It looks more European/Russian, more elegant. Sofie looks more Spanish heritage, it that's what you're aiming for, it's perfect.

Sophie, it looks a lot more cute then Sofie. Plus it was the original spelling and most people spell it that way.

I am used to Sophie, but i think Sofie is kind of cool.

Sofie looks prettier but Sophie would be easier because that is what everyone would assume was the spelling.

I would go for 'Sophie' over 'Sofie'. Sophie looks more cleaner that Sofie. More traditional.

Sophie is a lot cuter and classier. I think the original spelling will age best. Sofie looks misspelled and trendy. Yuck.

Sophie, or even better Sophia or Sonia, with Sophie as a nn. Subtle difference but more classic.
