What is the best way to get this message across?

Just keep being who you are, living by that quote and sharing your own natural gifts. I like to think we're getting closer to that kind of understanding, and I'd love to live in a world where we had it.

The best - in fact, the ONLY - way to do that without interfering with Free Will, is not to change anyone at all. Instead, BE the example you would wish to see in others. THEY will see that and make changes accordingly, or not as the case may be. Each to their own. As the Marianne Williamson quote puts it so beautifully:

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not in just some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
