    Career-Nolan Ryan

    Season-Matt Kilroy

    Game-Roger Clemens,Kerry Wood,and Randy Johnson had 20 K's in 9 innings (Tom Cheney doesn't count because he needed 16 innings to get 21 K's).

how can you say "Tom Cheney doesn't count because he needed 16 innings to get 21 K's" just because it took him longer than nine innings doesn’t mean it shouldn’t count. There isn’t a pitcher in baseball right now that would pitch 16 innings in a game.

The only breakable record in my mind is the most K's in one game. Any good pitcher can break it...i don't know...

Nolan Ryan also struck 383 batters in one season (I don't remember what year).
