Giants Fan!

In my mind, there are only two more moves the Giants need to make in order to have the assurance of making it to the playoffs.

1. They need to sign a catcher for one year, preferably Torealba, while Buster finishes getting ready. Maybe they can even split time.

2. They need to sign Jermaine Dye for one year. This would provide the power that they are missing in their lineup while their minor leaguers are still seasoning in the minors.

In my mind this should be how the batting order/lineup should look:

Freddy Sanchez 2B

Edgar Rentaria SS

Jermaine Dye RF

Pablo Sandoval 3B

Mark DeRosa LF

Travis Ishikawa 1B

Aaron Rowand CF

Yorvit Torealba C

Tim Lincecum

Jonathan Sanchez

Matt Cain

Barry Zito

Madison Bumgardner

What are your opinions on what the Giants should do this offseason and during the season?

As a Giants fan, obviously I am all for the idea, but I just want to hear what you guys think. Why or why shouldn't Tim Lincecum win the Cy Young? If not, who do you think should, and why?

If you could only use your team's players (or the players in their farm system) what moves would you make to make your team better for 2010, or would you keep it the same??

Remember..you can't trade or sign free agents because that would be using other players, you can only drop people, take people out of the lineup, bring people up...etc.

As a Giants fan, I would make the rotation (in this order) Lincecum, Cain (I think having Cain as number two would give the Giants an advantage), Sanchez, Zito, Bumgardner. Would bring up Posey.

Move Sandoval to first and bring up Rollinger to play 3rd.

Drop Lews, play Shierholtz full time

what moves would you make?

I have only been on this site for about 10 minutes or so today and have already seen 2 questions about why the Yankees/Phillies and their fans suck and are cocky. What is it about your team losing that people can't seam to handle. Just because a team is better then your team does not make the other team and their fans stupid, cocky, or rediculous.

I have to be honest...I do not like the Yankees nor the Dodgers (in fact I am a Giants fan) but I can't find one logical reason to say that these teams (or the Phillies since they are winning the series right now) are cocky.

Can someone please answer me this question? What makes a team and their fans cocky? Or is it just your own jealousy?

Why on earth is Sanchez still on this roster. There is no way the Bumgardner or Alderson could do worse than Sanchez. I wouldn't even mind if Pucetas could come up and take his spot. The Giants seem to be in a good spot to make the playoffs (even if it is by the wild card). What is it going to take to get Sabean to realize that Sanchez is not performing like he should? Why don't we just forfeit every fifth game. I am also wondering why Aurilia is still on this team, and why we don't send Ishi back down and see what Bowker can do? At least he hit 10 hrs for us last year, compared to Ishi's 1 (especially since he is just sitting on the bench right now anyway)?

Anyway, Giants fans...your thoughts?

There was a report out of New York that the Giants had signed Renteria to a two year deal...it turned out just to be a rumor. As a Giants fan I hope they don't sign him but go after Hudson or Furcal instead. What is your opinion? Also, why would the Mets be interested in Furcal? Are they going to trade Reyes or something?

There is no report about it on espn or mlb but I just saw one on the Giants actual website. If this is true can someone please confirm it for me? Also, if it is true do you like this move and do you think it is good for the Giants?

I think those are all of them if you think of more, that's fine too, but I think that's all of them.

Because I'm a Giants fan..I pick Giants-Angels as being the most exciting. Both teams are fairly young and have great pitching. It would be fun to watch plus I would love the Giants to get back at the Angels for 02..lol

I think Marlins-Rays is the most likely because both clubs have solid, but young players. Both teams have lots of speed but can hit lots of home runs as well. I think the Rays would win this series because they have better pitching and better defense.

I know the Brewers are not on Peavy's wish list, but if it were, would this be a good trade?

Trade Peavy and Greene to the Brewers. The Brewers trade Fielder and JJ Hardy to the Giants and the Giants trade Matt Cain, Travis Ishikawa, and Alex Hinshaw to the Padres.

I know, Giants fans that we need bulpen help and trading it is not going to help us get it but we need offense more and if we are going to contend next year we need a solid cleanup batter.

Your thoughts? Is this and even trade? and if you were a fan of either of the teams, would you go for it.

how bout if we all stop answering those Corky Miller questions? Do you think they will go away?

All of the NL Outfielders that won are center fielders....it seems like they would have to pick one center fielder, one right and one left fielder. Why is this not the case. I mean I know the outfielders switch positions sometimes, but not that often.

btw...Randy Winn should have won one...although I am biass being a Giants fan..lol
